Tony Abbott, Haiku Master

Stunning, simply stunning:

"Look, both of them were terrorists. Both of them are evil. They are both evil terrorists." (Elomar killed in Syria, but Sharrouf may still live, David Wroe, Sydney Morning Herald, 24/6/15)

Wow, who'd have thought Abbott, in addition to his other talents, was also a haiku master? I should have known after that triumph of concision:

Nope.
Nope.
Nope.

Anyway, I'm so inspired by his example that I thought I'd give it a go:

Look, Abbott is a fascist.
He is a bogan.
He is a fascist bogan.

Yep.
Yep.
Yep.

Merc, you make Basho envious. A typical haiku is a three-line observation about a fleeting moment involving nature.....wish Abbott was a fleeting moment.

Tone continues to delight with his use of repetition in today's SMH:

"Now frankly, heads should roll over this, heads should roll over this." (Broadcaster hits back: It's not your ABC, Matthew Knott, 26/6/15)
