Somewhere Over the Rainbow

From Tony Abbott's opinion piece in today's Australian, The national security case for the Abbott government:

"The bullying of small countries by big ones, the trampling of justice and decency in the pursuit of national aggrandisement, and reckless indifference to human life should have no place in our world."

OMFG, he's talking about Isr...

- Get real, of course he's not talking about Israel and Palestine. He's talking about Russia, Ukraine and Flight MH17.

Just for a minute there...

I haven't read the article and won't buy The Australian on principle, but if Abbott is talking about Russia and Ukraine don't you mean MH17, not MH370?

You're right. Will correct. Re buying The Australian, it's a matter of know your enemy.

I still haven't (and won't) buy the Australian, but I did look through it and couldn't find the article. Abbott's piece is however, in the latest Quadrant, where he makes the unconsciously ironic statement that you quote.
The whole article however, is an exercise in sustained delusion, and in many instances outright lies. His claims about MH17 are a classic illustration. But he even talks about his good relationship with Poroshenko. No mention that the said Poroshenko came to power in an American financed and organised coup and is currently waging war on civilians in the East of Ukraine. I am afraid that truth and Abbott are complete strangers.

Abbott probably gets his "truth" from the Australian.
